COPPERKINS 11

As well as owning Gamebird, we have a share in Copperkins 11, a 58 foot NB in the OwnerShips scheme. Copperkins was built by Pat Buckle in 1989 for a private owner and she came into the OwnerShips scheme when that owner was having his next boat, Copperkins 3 ?,  built. We have had shares in her since then (1992) and we have  cruised much of the connected waterways in her. There are still a few gaps we have to cruise, oddly enough the Cheshire ring is one of them. Every time we plan to do it, a bit of it is shut! Maybe one day....

Copperkins has, with other owners on board, taken part in several BCN challenges and has even had a starring roll in TV programs!

She has the  distinction (?) of being the oldest boat in the OwnerShips fleet and we are all very fond of the old girl who has served us, the owners, well for nine years. The following photos are just a few taken on our travels over the years.

Iain in the water tank! May 2003.

Carl Rutherford watching what Iain is doing. yes, he is all inside the tank!

Doesn't look very happy , does he? After all it was raining, hence the waterproof!

He looks pretty wet! It's Ok, I washed the white bowl thoroughly after he finished and the sponge was new.

Climbing out. At least he now knows he can fit inside the tank. This might be a test every years to check if he is putting on weight.

The last 4 photos were supplied by Ian Rutherford, thanks, Ian.
