Santa on Bluebell
Every year Santa leaves his reindeer and sleigh in the British Waterways workshop at Drumshoreland and goes along the canal to Port Buchan where he is met by hordes of children and a brass band. He continues his journey through Broxburn in a pony and trap.
This year, we were able to give Santa a ride in Bluebell rather than Roseann and although it as a sunny morning I think that he and his helper enjoyed being on the "bigger" boat. We were even able to supply tem with coffee on the short trip.
The members had decorated Bluebell and the lights we had bought (at great expense :-) ) for the illuminated boat parade on the Lancaster were pressed into use. Melvil took some photos of the occasion and here they are
